Location
We are part of the team Neuroendocrinology of socio-sexual interactions and Behavior, on the Mix Research Unit (UMR) “Physiology of Reproduction and Behaviour” (PRC) an INRAE research unit in partnership with the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the University of Tours and the French Horse and Riding Institute (IFCE). The general scientific objective proposed by the UMR PRC is to study the physiological mechanisms controlling the reproductive function, and the animal behavior linked to reproduction and social relationships. The PRC unit belongs to the Department of Animal Physiology and Livestock Systems (PHASE) division of INRAE.
The INRAE Centre - Val de Loire is located in Nouzilly, a few minutes north of the city of Tours, about 200 km south-west of Paris. The city has a high-speed train (TGV) connection to Paris (about 1h) and to the largest Paris airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). Tours stands on the Val de Loire river region, between Orléans and the Atlantic coast. The Val de Loire surrounding is known for its wines, castles, and for the perfection of its local spoken French (Wikipedia).
